RB Kevan Barlow Scored 13 points in the tie Mall Rats Kiss Their Sister In Week Two
(Olympia, WA) - The Capitol Mall Rats (0-1-1) kissed their sister this weekend, tying with Money 76-76. The Mall Rats were led by RB Kevan Barlow and WR Chad Johnson who each scored 13 points. QB Matt Hasselbeck led Money scorers with 21 points.

Coach Brandon Sparks says that the blame this week lies with him. "I made a dumb coaching move. I have one of the top defenses playing one of the weakest offenses and I leave them on the bench." The Seahawks defense scored 30 points shutting out the Arizona Cardinals but was replaced in the starting lineup by the Browns defense earlier in the week.

"However that doesn't excuse our starters lack of production," added Sparks. "Some guys need to step up and step up quick."

First round draft pick QB Donovan McNabb continued his struggles in the early season scoring only eight points. Second round pick WR Marvin Harrison scored his first touchdown of the season but only had 59 yards and scored 11 points.

"Eleven and nine might be good out of a couple of backups, but not from your franchise players," said Sparks. "We'll be giving Donovan a week off so that he can get his head straight but I'm sure Donovan will be back to his old self soon."

The Mall Rats continue their early season road trip this weekend while they wait for Banana Repubic Field to be finished when they travel to take on the hated Four Horesemen. The Rats open play at the Banana against the Blowhards. Don't forget to visit capitolmallrats.iwarp.com for all of your Capitol Mall Rats needs.
